Malia and her daughter Ally met us at Kidz-n-Coffee today for a much needed break from the house. Ally took to the play area quite well ... Vin on the other hand was hot and cold. One minute he loved it and the next he was in tears. Luckily they have an attendant in the play area that just kept opening and closing the gate for him. He would come sit by me for a bit and then take off for the play area again. I guess he's clearly still in that phase where he needs to be able to see me at all times when in an unfamiliar environment. That's really not such a bad thing. In fact it's quite normal at this age, and especially since he's home with me. (Can you tell we've been catching up on our reading lately?!)
My favortive part of the coffee shop was the adorable little kiddie lunch tables. Vin sat for the longest time, munching away. Man was it was cute!
