Poor little Ruby was sick on the day of her birthday party so we had an impromptu picnic at the park with the Whiteheads and the Musgroves instead. Vin is getting really good with the jungle gym -- especially the slides. But on this day it was the ducks and then the bubbles he had the most fun with.
People feed the ducks so they tend to be very friendly. But there are geese too, and geese are not only fearless (sorry for the overuse of this word lately) but they can also be mean. So when Vin took off running into the pack of ducks and geese my heart skipped a beat or two. Luckily daddy was right behind him and caught up just before he the geese really started to take an interest in him.
The Musgroves brought bubbles, which I think every kid loves. Lily happily entertained both Vin and Maci with them.
The Whiteheads brought a few bouncy balls for the kids to kick around and Vin was obviously enjoying them.
