the real moms of snohomish county throw colin (and me!) a baby shower!

As I have mentioned many times before and will probably mention many times again, I have THE most awesome mommy group ever. I tried to tell them that since we're having another boy that a shower wasn't really necessary, but they just weren't having it. And I have to say, I glad they did! It was just great to spend some time with all the women, sans kiddos for a few hours, and chat and relax. But in addition to that we got some pretty amazing loot!! Not only did I walk away with a hand made hooter hider, bundle me, swaddle me, a diaper cake, new blankets, baby shoes, clothes, baby powder, lotion, shampoo, binkie holder, flowers, boppy covers, REI gift certs (for the double BOB!!!!), baby book, Mojito Mix (yes, even my mommy group knows I'm a sucker for a good Mojito!), a fresh mani & pedi, and a bunch of other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting, but they all contributed to getting us a FLIP video camera, tripod, and case!!! SHOCKED??! Me too!! Seriously, what a great group of women :)

Oh, and I absoultely MUST give credit to Shannon for spending an entire week making the cake ... what an amazing cake. It was hard to destroy her work! And a special thanks for Cory (our fearless leader) for hosting, as well as all the ladies for bringing such YUMMY food! I was on a sugar high for a few days, and it was totally worth it!
