I took Vin in for his first dentist appointment today. It went well! His teeth look great (he has 16 out of 20 ... 4 molars left). The dentist was really nice, but there were still a few tears when we laid Vincent back so the dentist could see his teeth. But the tears were only because he was uncertain of his surroundings and all the new people. All the dentist did was brush his teeth, take a quick look to make sure nothing looked out of the ordinary, and then he painted on some fluoride. The entire exam took all of 5 minutes. Once he was done, Vin was all smiles. I'm sure the next visit in 12 months will be all fun and games ... at least it seemed to be for the kid next to us! He was happy as could be, watching his movie what the dentist worked inside his mouth.
Afterward we went downtown to drop off mommy and daddy's rings for cleaning/polishing and found that we were an hour early. So we went to Starbucks and shared a sandwich (which is where the pictures were taken). Vin was thrilled to get his own cup and straw. He was the perfect little gentleman too ... sitting still in his big chair, drinking his water, and sharing my food. It was the perfect way to waste an hour.
