At the end of breakfast this morning Vincent said his first sentence (well, the first I could fully understand anyway ... I'm pretty sure he's been trying to talk in sentences for a while now). He said, "Mommy! I wanna see bus and truck!" I was so shocked and excited and of course I knew he meant he wanted to see the movie Cars. Vin is obsessed with Cars and just recently discovered that he actually has a Hot Wheels version of the VW bus (Fillmore) from the movie. He was quite excited when he realized this.
Vin is also quite obsessed with Dora -- along with the rest of the toddlers who are allowed to watch TV. For those of you who know the show, he even knows when to say "map" (which sounds more like "bap" when he says it) and "backpack" ("bapapa"). It cracks me up when he tries to say them and I actually have a hard time correcting him because his versions of the words are just too freakin' cute. Instead I just praise him for interacting with the show, since that's really the point. It will be fun to watch how his vocab expands from here!
