bothell landing run and park

It's official. I'm back out there, running my butt off (literally, or trying to anyway). Vin knows the routine and he's fine with the jogger so long as he gets some play time at the park afterward. Colin is sorta hit or miss right now. Some days he sleeps right through the entire run and others he breaks down about halfway through. As long as I take him out and carry him for a few minutes he usually will tolerate the second half of the run. Usually. I think it's getting better though and I know my running finally is. My body is finally bouncing back and I don't want to die later in the day from the back pain. Yippee! I'm starting to believe that Marathon is actually (eventually) possible!

The park is also an interesting experience with two little ones. Sometimes Colin will just chill in the jogger while Vin gets in some play time or at least be content if I carry him around. Other times he demands to be fed IMMEDIATELY!

Vin is a ball of energy who I try to keep on the jungle gym as much as possible so he doesn't start chasing the ducks and the geese. He isn't so great with listening to me when I tell him to stay on the bark instead of running for the trail/parking lot/river (or is it a slough?) Mostly he thinks we're playing a game and he loves it when I chase him ... We play this game a lot at home so I see where he gets the idea.

Basically, I get in another workout after my run when all I really want to do is take a few minutes to catch up with my mommy friends. That isn't really so much a complaint as it is a statement. I know it'll work out, eventually :)

Vin is getting to be quite the expert on this jungle gym. He has even finally mastered the spiral slide, which even just a couple weeks ago he would finish backwards on and usually have a bump somewhere on his head.

Check out stroller city! We practically surround the place when we're done with the walk/run. This is one of the times when Colin actually chilled in the BOB for a while. It was a good day.
