Summer has always been my favorite time of year and it looks as though Vin takes after me in that department. Our backyard is finally ready for lots of play time and we have a few fun toys and a kiddie pool to make things a little more interesting.
But on this day, we went to the Whiteheads for a backyard BBQ. They had a slip-n-slide pool and some other toys for the kids to play with. After dinner the kids all got pop sickles, which they are happily enjoying in the picture above. Then we walked to a nearby basketball court so the guys and Jacey could shoot some hoops.
Maci and Vin got to ride in style in the wagon and Jacey rode her bike.
While Jacey was playing basketball Vin borrowed her helmet because it's important to put safety first, even if you're just walking around.
