"That's quite the set up!" is something we hear on a regular basis when we take the double BOB out. It is, too! I'm sure part of the response is simply due to the fact that it's size makes it a bit difficult NOT to notice, but it's also quite a nice way to travel with two under two.
Chris and I have pretty much got packing it up with all the essentials down to a science as well. It's crazy how many things you "must" have when leaving the house with two kids in tow, especially if you want to be comfortable and keep the kids happy when you finally reach your destination.
Although we've been making good use of the double over the past month, it's usage is about to quadruple since my 6 weeks of post-cesarean healing time is nearly up! I'm going to start training for the Iron Girl 5k (Sept 2009), TBD 10k (Oct 2009), the Seattle 1/2 Marathon (Nov 2009), and ... drum roll PLEASE ... my VERY FIRST MARATHON, Seattle Rock 'n' Roll (June 2010)!!! I'm excited and scared. The most I've ever run at once is 8 miles! This next year of running/training will be quite an adventure, and hopefully in the process it'll help get my body back to a size I can live with :)
This pic was taken at the Bothell 4th of July Parade. Vin was pretty excited about the flag a cute little lady gave him. Too bad we got there so late since our seats pretty much sucked (Vin's was nice, since he was in the shade of the double, but Chris and I were dying in the hot sun!) Next year we'll have to try and get there early and bring an unbrella and chairs!
