We finally got a group of families together last weekend and went camping at Sun Lakes with Vincent. This was his first experience and he seemed to enjoy it. The first night was a bit rough -- with the 60+ mph winds we had to try and sleep through. We had borrowed a tent from the Whiteheads ... which unfortunately ripped at two seams before we even had a chance to try it out. Luckily Casey and Bodies tent was 3/4 mesh (so the wind went through it) and big enough to accommodate us as well. However, it was still a challenge to get any sleep at all. Thankfully the second night was much better.
We were joined by Casey & Bodie, the Whiteheads, the Blacklocks, the Paynes, and the Maxx's. Much fun was had by all and I think we've all agreed that Sun Lakes Resort camping will be a yearly group event. We're so looking forward to next year -- to trying out the pool and mini-golf, to letting Vincent play a bit more in the lake, to not having to worry so much about EVERYTHING going straight into Vincent's mouth! And if we have a new addition by then we can always rent one of the cabins :)
