Chris had a training in Vegas last week so I tagged along. Vinny got to stay with Grammy and Grampy Haney for three days/two nights. We missed him terribly, but as you can see here he seemed to be just fine without us!!Of course, we managed to have a bit of fun too.

Our suite at The Palms has a great view of the strip from one window and the Fantasy Playboy Tower from the other (as you can sorta see in the pics) and the pool was nice
enough. And as they promised we did see one famous person -- right next to us at dinner at Little Budda -- Kevin Weisman, probably best known as Marshal Finkman on Alias, and currently on October Road. As tempted as we were to be star-struck and ask for a picture, we resisted and let him enjoy his sushi in peace (the sushi was very deserving of his full attention - some of the best we've ever had). Our trip didn't start or end well though ... I was so focused on making sure we had everything ready for Vincent's stay with the Grandparents that I forgot to double check my own list. It was raining so hard that we left early for the airport. Luckily we got there 2 hours early because as soon as we parked it hit me -- I'd forgotten my ID. Miraculously, we made it all the way home and back (through some pretty nasty traffic and rain) and didn't miss our plane. We found a nice guy who works at security (I know, we were shocked too) and he let us go through the line reserved for pilots and flight attendants. When we arrived at the gate our plane was fully boarded but still there! On the way home our flight was delayed because of a gash in the side of the plane which they announced they were going to fix (information we really didn't need to know). So, it was three hours late. Poor Vinny was sound asleep when we finally made it back around midnight ... and as bad as it was we couldn't NOT wake him! He was excited to see us -- so much so that he didn't want to go back to sleep, which of course we knew would happen. But it was worth it.
